I am very impressed with their reservation staff-they were so awesome in accomadating our group-several friends of ours decided to book when they heard how reasonable the rates were. We are headed to Kalahari on Thursday, the kids have Friday off from school so the Thrusday night stay works greatly to our benefit-to get the same room for Friday the rate was $249!. My youngest loved hanging out with Snoopy in the evenings though! Castaway Bay rooms are small and really only accomadate 4 people so we had to get two rooms which ended up costing us a lot more money that one suite at GW. I am by no means fussy when it comes to rooms, but these are not even the least bit nice. The body slides were painful even for the kids. The waterpark was fun, especially loved the wave pool and the hottub. We have never paid more than $169 per night at Great Wolf.Ĭastaway Bay-well, that is another story. You can always get great rates at Great Wolf if you are willing to stay Sun-Thurs. Something for all the kids (ages 12-6) and the rooms are very nice, even if you get a basic Family Suite. We have stayed at Great Wolf several times and have loved it. Of course plenty of good restaraunts north of their. Their pizza is good, but their restaraunt has lousy food and service. Not as warm as the Great Wolf, but I really like to watch the surf pool. The waterpark is great when you have little ones thru preteens. Their combination suites for 12 are nice with a full kitchen, large table, living room with a gas fireplace. My only fault to them is they do not have rooms large enough for a family gathering. Waterpark is better for the younger ones. The slides are rough on the body, you can feel every seam in them. The rooms are tiny, cramped without a view and dirty. We are locals who use the waterparks for winter get-a-way weekends.Ĭastaway bay is Cedar Points biggest mistake. What is your opinion on Castaway Bay and Great Wolf? We have never been to any, so any info would be greatly appreciated! thanks! ![]()
